First, Jantsen and Kyle started school (back on Aug 25th) I just took forever to write about it. Jantsen is still at Christ Child and he is going to school every day for about 3 hours. He is really proud of himself for being such a big kid because he gets to go everyday, just like Kyle does. He really likes his new teachers Ms. Katie and Ms. Lolita. They are great and I am excited for this upcoming year. He has alot of friends from his last year class that have moved up to the 4 year old PreK class so he has been excited to see them all again.

My other student Kyle started his second year of law school. He also was accepted into the MBA program here at Creighton so now he is doing his JD and his MBA at the same time. It will still be a total of 3 years of school, but his semesters will be more busy and also the summer semesters will include a few business classes. I am happy that he is doing his MBA because he loves business and it has always been his plan to get his MBA so now he is doing them both. But it does make him gone alot more. He did come home one day and say, "I think this semester really will kill me." People told us that the first year is the hardest, but now we are hearing the 2nd year, 1st semester is the hardest. But we decided that it is law school and it is all the hardest! But now we are already into the 2nd year and I can't believe how fast it has gone.

Anyways, I get really excited round this time of year. I love the month of September, nothing too exciting really happens in September but I love the season of Fall! I love wearing sweaters and jackets and jeans. I love the crisp fall evenings and the changing colors. Just so fun. I also get alittle anxious with the new fall season. Fall use to mean the start of school, the start of soccer season (and with that two-a-days or running my body to complete exhaustion), and summer fun being over. But now that I am older, fall is full of fun things! I get to watch soccer games, college football, go to county fairs/pumpkin patches, there is just so many fun things that I associate with this season.

Well this weekend we have already experienced some fun fall things. We went to a soccer game here at Creighton. My brother Dustin's best friend growing up, James, plays soccer at St. Louis University. So, his SLU team was out here playing at a Creighton Tournament for the weekend and we went to the game to cheer him on. It is fun to see him, makes me miss Dustin more, but it was fun to be there cheering for someone we know! The kids love soccer games because of all the room they have to run around. They had fun at the really nice Creighton soccer stadium. I am excited for the upcoming soccer season!

Then today we had a ward party. Kyle and I are the Ward Activities Leaders and so we have been planning a first of the school year (meet and greet activity) activity and so we did a Ward Fall Fair. We had face painting, fishing and bean bag toss for the kids to do. Then for some big games we did 3-legged race, pie eating contest, wheel barrel race, doughnut eating contest, water balloon toss and potato sack race. It was SO much FUN!! We had all fair foods, corndogs, popcorn, pretzels, homemade rootbeer, oh it turned out great. I hope that the ward members had fun and that they were able to meet the new members. Alot of less active people came too and it was a great setting for the missionaries to bring their investigators. I am glad it is over because I have been totally stressing and freaking out. I am glad I have a patient husband that can work side by side with me and deal with all my little details and micro-managing skills!

Jantsen and Kambryn did all the kiddie games and then Jants also did the kid potato sack race. He LOVED watching the eating contests and just loved the races. It put him back in the Olympic racing mode and he even got all his little friends and taught them how to go through the racing routine. At least he stayed busy. He did get mauled over at the finish line by the Himmerichs in the 3-legged race. He was too excited to get out of the way. We had a great time and now I want to go to a fair that I don't have to be incharge of. I am glad this one is over!!

fall is my favorite time of the year also and for most of the same reasons.
I am glad the fall fair turned out well! Sounds like it was a lot of fun! Too bad we weren't there this weekend!
Last night before I fell asleep I was thinking how it feels like fall and how I can't wait to make some pumpkin stuff--muffins, cookies, pie.... mmm mmm. I can't believe your kids are going to school! You guys all look great, of course, and it's been fun to see what you're up to.
So first of all I love your new header...you are such a cute family! Second...the MBA thing sucks! I am really hoping it will pay off but for now it makes the boys home so much less! Third...I LOVE the fall too! Fall in Omaha rocks because it really feels like fall(and if we had the trees here that we used to have...it would look like fall too!)!
Cute pics! I bet Kambryn loves it when Jants finally gets home from school.
Im kinda jealous that it is getting fallish there. We are still hot, usually in the 90's. How is Christ Child? Lots of the same people? Anyone else from V.G.? That is so nice that he is going everyday. Lexi is going to miss the kindergarden cut off next year by 23 days so Im going to get her tested to go in early and just do 2 years of kindergarden. That way she can go everyday for free!! Her teacher now says she is very "mature" for her age and that she thinks she will be fine next year. Let me know what you are up to and give me your email so that I can send you my number since your phone is crazy! I think we might come out for the spring dental assembly this spring! Lexi will be so excited to see her forced fiance Jantsen!
It must already be getting cold in Nebraska cause I see you're wearing jackets & stuff. I really miss Omaha but I'm definitely not going to miss the weather!! Cold, cold, cold!! Bryce had a really busy 2nd year too but it does slow down just a little in the 3rd year...and before you know it you're done! Enjoy Omaha cause when you leave you're going to miss it, I promise!
I'm with you on loving Fall. Spring and fall are my favorite times of the year! I love the crisp air, jeans, and hoodies. I think there are so many things to look forward to that come quickly once fall hits---like Thanksgiving and Christmas....Also, my favorite holidays. Looks like you guys are having some good times.
I love the fall too! i have to make it to the pumpkin patch this year since everybody has such wonderful things to say about it.
I made a final decision this year that fall is my favorite season. Don't you just love the smell of grass and feel the cool air and all of the sudden you are in high school waiting for a kick off of a game?
First of all, stop being so cute dang it! I want to! Second, that picture of Jantsen and Kyle going off to school with their backpacks on is totally PRICELESS!!! SO CUTE!
It's fun how once a soccer fan always! It is fun to watch someone you know though. IT's great the "boys" are going to school together. If the little ones only new how long the big ones actually go to school, they may think "no way..." :)That's great Kyle is accomplishing so many of his goals!! You guys make a great team of patience! Good luck with this semester! Ainslie
