...and we celebrated it by going to Costco for pizza and a hot dog! Happy Birthday Kyle!!
Well that wasn't actually the only thing we did but that is the only place that I took pictures. It was the kid's valentine's dinner though. Sweet huh! Nothing says LOVE like buying in bulk!
His birthday celebrations lasted the whole weekend. He wouldn't let me plan a big surprise party for him, which I am still mad that I didn't just do it. But I did try to prolong his birthday for about 3 days. We first went to dinner Friday night at Granite City (his favorite restaurant out here) and then watched Eagle Eye. We spent most of Saturday (his actually birthday and also Valentine's Day) cleaning the house. Pretty exciting I know! It was a gift he was giving me for Valentine's Day. How sweet! I think he is one of the only people that has to give a present to someone else on HIS own birthday. Our house was a mess and so it really needed to be cleaned. And I love a clean house!

We then took off to hang out as a family. We did get some gifts for Kyle, so the day didn't go without celebrating his big 30! The kids and I also sang Happy Birthday to him. He is totally against being at a restaurant and having the waiters come and sing, and so it was just Jantsen, Kambryn and I singing our birthday song rendition in our own little kitchen! We ended the night with getting some take-out from Chili's, putting the kids in bed, and watching a movie. It was a chick flick that he agreed to watch only because it was my Valentine's Day too.
It was a fun day, alittle non-eventful and boring for the morning, but we ended having a fun afternoon out with the family and a great dinner at home with it just Kyle and I.
Kambryn really is daddy's little girl. It was the perfect shirt to celebrate valentine's day and her dad's birthday! She gives him "the look" and she gets whatever she wants! So Spoiled! Kyle loves it though!
Lastly on Sunday we finally finished off his birthday weekend with singing Happy Birthday to him...again...and only this time he finally had a candle to blow out...that Jantsen and I put in his breakfast Costco muffin. It was a birthday to remember!
Here are some things the kids and I wanted to tell Kyle on his birthday!
Jantsen: "I like going on the roller coasters with you Daddy...He makes me feel happy when he plays with my train tracks and trains. You are the best daddy in the whole world. Happy Birthday Dad. I love you!...That's all."
Kambryn: "I Wuh You Dadda...Hap' Bir'day...Read Mil-Moo (LOVES to read Millie Moo book with Kyle). Muah (blows kisses)"
Me: "You are an amazing husband and dad. You really are my other half. Every weakness of mine is a strength of yours and I am so thankful for the example you are to me. You make me want to be a better wife, mom and person. I love that you are my forever!"
