Easter Weekend

This is what we did:

Friday
Jantsen had his cavities fixed. He had 5 teeth that needed those awesome silver caps put on them plus one tooth had to have a little root canal work. I have no idea where he got these bad teeth. But we are glad they are fixed.

Pre-surgery. His muscles were strong enough to handle the squeezing arm cuff. That is what he told us.

Right before he was taken out to the operating room. He was talking to the nurse about NASCAR...lovely.
We had to go to the hospital so they could put him all the way out for the procedure. It took about 1 hour and it went great. Except he didn't like the IV still in him when he was recovering. He also got pretty grumpy when they gave him the first medicine to get him tired. But other than that it went well.

Post-surgery. He HATED that blue wrap on his hand!! It took him just over an hour to come out of all his medicine so we could go home. He then slept for another 4 straight hours when we were home.
His little face was so Swollen! He is my cute little cuddly one. I started bawling when they brought him back in to the room after the surgery. My poor guy was scared and confused and I felt so bad! I would have given him anything he wanted and I just wanted him to feel safe.
Pictures of his silver teeth hopefully coming soon!

SATURDAY

Easter Egg Hunt. We had an egg hunt here at our complex. Lots of kids, lots of eggs, and lots of candy going everywhere. Jantsen was in heaven. Anything that involves or looks like some kindof race, he is all for it! There was a 10 egg limit...I think he ended up with 33. He saw them first so he didn't understand why he couldn't get them.

Kambryn was in it for alittle while and then was more content with just swinging. So she ended with maybe 4 eggs, so Jantsen's just made up for her lack of interest in competition.

SUNDAY

HAPPY EASTER! The kids had fun getting their Easter baskets and looking for hidden candy and money eggs. I love Easter. I think of the baskets as almost a little Christmas stocking...gotta have some fun toys and presents and of course a new church outfit. I also Love Easter because we get another wonderful day to remember and celebrate the life of Christ! I love teaching my kids about the Savior!

.......
REST OF THE WEEK

The rest of the week we just got back into the swing of things. Jantsen has been on spring break and so he was excited to get back to school and show everyone his new silver teeth. I was excited to be back on some sort of a schedule. We did make it to a couple of Creighton baseball games which was nice. Good cheap (actually Free for us) fun! We are having a great time here and we are loving life!

Good luck Kyle on your upcoming Finals...hello (agh) single mom life again for a few weeks! The semester is almost over!!!

Hey, just to let you know....my kids HATE any type of GREEN SALAD, lettuce things like that, but I make them have a little, so they ate one little spinach leaf each, and they loved the noodles, so there you go. I am a MEAN mom!
