My Little Girl is 2!!!

Kambryn turned 2 years old today!!

Time flies too fast!!!

We had a great day watching General Conference and hanging out inside...because we woke up to snow here in Omaha. Crazy weather. The day Kambryn was born it was a BEAUTIFUL spring day. Very different to today's weather.

First: What a wonderful! uplifting! inspiring! conference we had! I am so grateful for our prophet President Monson. When we were singing "We Thank Thee Oh God For A Prophet" during one of the sessions and they were showing different pictures of Pres. Monson traveling all around the world, I was so touched and moved by the love that you can feel from just seeing him. Every smile, his voice, what an amazing man! I am grateful for temples and I want to rededicate myself to attend the temple more often and especially prepare in advance for the work I am going to do. I don't want to just go and do the work, feel good and come home. I want it to be on my mind and in my heart before I go. We are blessed here in Omaha to have a temple so close (nothing compared to being in Utah) but still within a 20 minute drive we are at the temple! I hope to attend the temple with Kyle more often!

I love Conference time and I love that my kids are old enough that they actually like playing the Conference Bingo game and getting so excited when they heard the words from the chart. And that they actually remembered some of them and knew what they meant, like "tithing" and "sacrament" and "missionaries". Simple words sure...but to a 4 and 2 year old, to remember that "Sacrament" we take the bread and water and that their Uncle Dustin is a "missionary" and that we give our money away with "tithing". What a blessing it is to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

But after conference we had a small birthday party for Kambryn, just with our little family. We had a great time, nice and low key. Kyle would say it was too much for a 2 year old, but I like holidays and birthdays and pretty much every occasion. So even though to me it was really small, I am sure that Kambryn loved it.

Blowing out the candles was not really her thing. Jantsen was more than happy to help with that...

But opening her presents....now that was her job! The expressions on her face each time she opened a gift was just hilarious. So dramatic and over the top with excitement. It was cute and fun!

(getting a card from the Stout's. Eme traced her hand on the card saying "high 5 from Eme" and so Kambryn wanted to give her a high-5 through the card!)

Kambryn you are our little princess and we love you so much!!

Thanks so much for everyone sending gifts and birthday wishes....she absolutely LOVES it all!!!

"Happy Birthday Kambryn! I hope you had a great birthday today!" Love Jantsen

Kambryn, My sweet pea! I can not believe the big 2 year old that you are already! You have so much spunk and tenacity and love for life. You are always on the go and love to be involved with everything. You know what you want and you are a go getter! I can't wait to see how that quality will bless you when you get older.

When I look at you right now, I see a beautiful girl! Someone that loves being around her family. Your best friends are you family. You love to tag along with Jantsen and do exactly what your older brother does. You have your daddy wrapped around your finger. You are his princess and you always will be. And you are my baby girl. Grandpa Graham says you are so much like me when I was little. There are so many little things that you do now that you learned from me. It makes me laugh each day to see the different things you pick up on and how your little girly mind works! I LOVE that!

I absolutely love that you are a tough girly girl. That you love pink, and shoes, and dresses and make-up and all that fun girl stuff. But also I love that you are a stubborn tough girl. You don't mind getting dirty, you want to play sports and wrestle and be feisty. I adore you laugh and your personality! You bring so much love and joy into our home.

I am so blessed to be your mommy. I thank our Heavenly Father everyday for blessing me with such a wonderful, beautiful, healthy, stubborn, lovable little daughter! I hope that we will always be best friends. That you will look to me as an example, a listener, a mom, a best friend! I love you so much!

-love forever and always-

Mommy

Happy 2nd Birthday Kambryn!

-love your family

Happy birthday to Kambryn! She's so cute! I love reading your testimony on your blog. I too love President Monson! We have been so blessed to have such wonderful prophets in during our life time thus far! They're amazing men and wonderful examples. I think it's awesome that you're kids watched conference.
