We had our 2 week check up at the dentist for Jantsen's "totally cool silver teeth". They are great and he is doing a wonderful job taking care of them. He is always wanting to floss and brush his teeth to make sure he doesn't get any more cavities. And he never wants candy that is too sticky or to hard because he is afraid that it will pull out his cool teeth. He will have healthy teeth for the rest of his life now, I hope!
This morning was Busy! Soccer game with after game treats, my 5k race, Kyle studying and getting ready for finals. I really felt like we weren't students anymore and I got a taste of what life will probably be like in a few years, when our kids get older and they are involved in the millions of things kids have to do. It was a fun morning, busy and running all over town, but it made me excited for being done with school and onto real life.
*****5K Race (in freezing cold weather)****

The Creighton Dental School put on a 5K race that a couple of us girls from the VG decided to run in. Only bummer was that yesterday morning the weather was perfect...68 degrees, sunny and no wind. So this morning for the race, what did we get? Rain, wind and 40 degree weather! Agh!! It was cold!

It was great to have my kiddos there, to see their mom being healthy, and also run my guts out. I ran the 3.2 miles in 22:41. I took 3rd place for the girls and was really excited to get my award until they presented me with a $10 gift card to Starbucks. What?! Lame!! Last year they had prizes like an IPOD and stuff. So I basically ran hard for $10 of hot chocolate. Yipee! Honestly though, I was really happy with my race, I wanted to throw up after, but it was still alot of fun!!

Jantsen showing off his skills at his game today. He scored 2 goals and played awesome! I am happy that he is enjoying it, scoring goals and playing defense! He is becoming a little soccer star! T-ball starts in a few weeks so we will see how he likes baseball.

Kyle and his team are in the finals!! I finally was able to make it to one of his games and it was alot of fun watching him play. He definitely knows soccer! He has watched it enough that he reads the game really well. He is a born midfielder! It was like his 4th game he's played in since he was about 11 years old and he did pretty good! I am proud of you babe! Go Law School Team! haha...that just sounds so intimidating doesn't it!!
(his game was on Wednesday night and so my camera didn't work that great with the lights and running and all, so the best picture was when he was on the sidelines...he wasn't too happy that this is the picture I am posting, but it is really the only one that you can tell it is actually him. His final is next Wednesday so there will be more pictures coming, and better quality hopefully!)

Holy smokes! Go Janel! You are darn fast. Jants looks cute with his silver teeth. Tell Kyle he looks pretty awesome as a soccer player even if he was on the side lines in that picture.
And we are for sure driving out on the fifth of May so count on us sleeping there that night. We are excited for you guys!
Oh I am sad I am pregnant (well not really) but I would totaly run the half marathon with you. My sister and I were going to this fall but instead I will gain 40 pounds and have another screaming baby. Oh well next year.
I love his silver teeth. Lexi got a few white fillings and then 2 hot pink ones that she is pretty proud of. I will have to post them! Way to go on the run! I need to get into shape. Too bad my trainer is no where to be found;)

I was going to add that i see a little kambryn in our future (in a good way of course!) but i didn't. ha she is already one busy girl. its just a girl thing, i think. Our boys are so much alike i think girls are just DRAMA!! ha fun though at the same time!

wow, what a busy girl you are! What cute kids and I love that you are a runner. I read your blog over and over and it makes me want to go for a run. All I gotta do is throw my 3 kids in the 2 kid stroller and go for it. Maybe I should find a sitter for that. But then when I finally get to the actual running I think that maybe I'll just watch my own kids and send the sitter on the run. Yes yes, much easier. :)
