What we have done since I have been prego...

Well I am 13 weeks pregnant and due January 19th (my birthday...weird but kindof cool) Some birthday present Kyle game me. He thinks he is off the hook with presents, but oh no he owes me a big present this next year since being pregnant has also made me really sick.
But now that the 1st trimester ALL DAY, EVERYDAY sickness is over, for the most part, here I am updating my blog!
First I want to say THANK YOU to everyone that has helped so much while I was in Omaha and sicker than sick, for taking my kids and entertaining them and bringing dinner, everything! And also I wanted to say that Kyle is just amazing. He was working and going to summer classes and also doing everything at the house when he came home! (Dealing with a whiny me I think almost did him in) He had to make his own dinner (grilled hot dogs...how lucky) for Fathers Day because I was so sick! How sad is that! What a horrible wife I am! But he really is amazing and I want him to know how much I love and appreciate him!!

***Well so now for a quick update, hopefully quick***
June 6th I ran in a 10K race (The Hospital Hill Race in Kansas City). I signed up for a half marathon before I was prego and sick. So I switched to the 10K when I got down there and I was so glad that I did. The 6 miles just about killed me anyways (and I haven't ran at all since). But I am glad we went down to Kansas City. It was fun to hang out with just the 4 of us.
Here are some pictures from our trip:

The kids LOVED staying in a hotel.
Their favorite thing was jumping on the bed.

Eating at a cool train Restaurant called Fritz's. Our food was brought to us by a train. Jantsen was in heaven. He asked to eat at this restaurant for every meal.

Union Station's model train Heaven! Jantsen could have stayed there and watched the trains all day. He was doing the bathroom dance for about 20 minutes before we could pull him away from all the trains. We had a great time walking around downtown.

After the race.
I was so glad to be done but it felt good to get out and run. My running days are on hold for now though.

We spent a lot of time swimming and driving around looking at the city. I loved it. If Kansas City wasn't in the humid mid-west, I would even consider living there. Jantsen and Kambryn LOVED swimming. I dared Jantsen to jump off a rock that was about 8 feet up from the pool. He climbed right up, went right to the edge, jumped off, and did a belly-flop!!! I forgot to remind him to jump in feet first. But I was proud of him with getting right up there and doing it.

We had a great time hanging out and eating good food and taking a little break with it just being our little family.
***************************

The rest of June was pretty non-eventful. (Except for moving Jantsen and Kambryn into a bunk bed) It is crazy to see Kambryn out of her crib and on the bottom bunk. But they both absolutely LOVE it! (I only have pictures of taking down Jantsen's twin bed, bunkbed pictures will come later)

Also, we spent a lot of time in the kiddie pool/sprinkler and trying to stay out of the horrible humidity. Kyle has been working full time and also taking summer classes so he has been busy also. There was a 2 week break that Kyle had before summer classes so we took a trip out to Utah. And since I have been really sick, we decided that I should just stay in Utah for the month while Kyle is so busy and also so that I can have some extra help with the kids. It has been so nice to be here but I miss Kyle A LOT! He comes for this next weekend and we are so excited to see him.

More to come about the first part of our Utah trip!

Congrats on being pregnant! I'm sorry I haven't checked out blogs lately. WOW! I can't even imagine running a 5K right now let alone anytime while I was pregnant - you are amazing!!! I hope you continue to feel better - I can definitely sympathize. :-) Have fun here in Utah! Tell your family I said hi.
