(This was the snow that had fallen as of Tuesday afternoon...nothing too special)
Okay so last post I said that we had gotten a just a few inches of snow on Tuesday...well that few turned into almost 10 inches. It just kept snowing and snowing all day on Tuesday. Well then sometime during the night the wind decided to really pick up. So, this morning we woke up to snow drift heaven. We had snow drifts in our front yard/patio area that were about 3 feet tall. There was snow everywhere. It was one big snow drift from the hood of our cars to our front door. CRAZY! Luckily we have a few steps to go up to our front door so that we didn't get trapped inside. But it was another crazy day here in Omaha with the snow and wind and ice. (it was alittle amusing to see people try to dig out their cars. My poor neighbor and their Mini Cooper. Not a car for the snow is all I can say!)
Here is a look at how things were Wednesday afternoon. Of course after a few hours of digging out any sign of a sidewalk and a road. And also a little video of the amount of snow. Notice the difference from the first picture to this video. Lots of snow!
Just alittle playdough to entertain the kids for maybe 30 minutes. That was until Jantsen decided to spell out his whole name with "snakes". Making little snakes with playdough was always one of my favorite things to do. Leave it to Jantsen to involve school and learning with simple snake making though! (and yes he is in his "running" shirt and shorts. The kid loves that outfit! If only he would refer to it as the Brazilian National Soccer Uniform)
We spent most of the day inside until about 3:30 when I was about to go crazy with being cooped up. We went out for about 30 minutes and let the kids run wild and to get some fun pictures of our crazy snow.
The little snow bunny! Her cheeks and nose were so red and this was only after about 15 minutes! (I think she took a bite out of this snow chunk after I took this picture too)
The snow mountain climber. He did get stuck once and his boot almost came off...he was buried up to his waist.
The fearless snow remover! Doesn't he look so tough with his shovel!
And alas, a belly picture! For all you who have just been dying to see one. Here you go! 5 weeks to go people...only 5 more weeks!!

I miss the snow, but not the kind of snow and ice Omaha constantly drops in the winter. Here it might snow like once a year. You look cute in that picture! Have you decided on a name for the baby yet? Jantsen and Kambryn are getting so big, miss you all!
Hey Janel! Merry Christmas! I don't ever remember getting that kind of snow in Omaha, CRAZY!!! I have to tell ya, it's too cold where I live to snow! A couple weeks ago was what they call the "deep freeze of December", The first few days the HIGH was -10, then one morning when I put Landon on the bus it was -27, the bus driver told me to really bundle him up the next day because the HIGH was only supposed to be -40!!! I said, won't they cancel school? They said, not until -50.
Yes, we moved to Butte Montana, one of the coldest cities in America. But it doesn't have that icy feel like the midwest.
So what are your plans?
You look so good, kids are so big! Miss hearing from you!!!! Take care and have a great Christmas!
wow, you look great. that's how i look at 5 months not with 5 weeks left. Merry Christmas!
