Thursday he had his hooding ceremony for hi MBA. It was just the kids and I that went to the hooding and I was glad that it was just us. It was a good ending to how the last 3 years were for us. Just our little family of 5, relying on each other, 1000 miles away from our family. I guess it showed what we did as a family, just as us, that we went through a lot, but we did it together! Anyways, so MBA ceremony was Thursday.
The kids were SO excited to see Kyle come down into the auditorium in his cap and gown. Jantsen and Kambryn kept calling out "Daddy" and waving to him. It was cute. My favorite part was watching Kyle's face light up when he saw us and when he waved to them and gave them high-fives. I just love my family!
We love our Daddy!
Kyle, Adam Peterson, and Chad McClellan
(MBA and JD graduates)
Following in Dad's footsteps??... 2030 MBA graduate??
Friday we went to Kyle's Law school hooding. This was a big deal and an important ceremony. (For those who have never been to a hooding or were like me, thought that it was like some sort of KKK thing, it isn't. haha. Hooding = law professor putting a long scarf thing on each student. Only graduate students have hooding ceremonies)
So excited that the day is finally here!
Go Blue Jays! Go Law School! Go Kyle!
Having a good time during the hooding ceremony!
Thanks so much for the support from our visitors!
Officially Hooded!
Love this picture! So cute in his cap and gown...what a good daddy!

The after-ceremony party! I got a little emotional and sentimental saying congrats to some of our good friends and Kyle's classmates that we had the privilege to get to know over the past 3 years. Such great friends and people! We loved Omaha!
Saturday was the big commencement day. It started at 9:30am. Jantsen had a soccer game at the same time and so we decided that everyone, except Kyle of course, would go to the soccer game and then head straight over to the commencement ceremony. Which turned out to be the best idea ever. We walked into the Quest Center around 11:00am and had to watch about 10 minutes of the talking and then it was diploma time for Kyle. It was great! Made it so easy with the kids! We were at the graduation for maybe 45 minutes. Fabulous!!
(side note, Friday and Saturday night we were nice and cozy in our house with having 9 people staying with us. We had Rick and Claudia on the air mattress in the living room, my dad and James took the kid's bunk beds, and then we put Kam and Jants on the floor in our room, as well as having Talan's pack and play. Then you add luggage and everything... it was fun!
We were actually really comfortable in there. We all slept great!
Walking around Omaha with Grandpa and Uncle James
(petting the police horse on the pedestrian bridge. How cool is that)

I'm not going to lie....I got a little teary when I read all of the stuff you remember about Omaha. When I read Zoo Kindergarten. :( We miss you. I don't think Kael quite understands that you are really gone. It's going to be rough when school starts. Hope everything is going good in Utah! We miss you!
