Six is great!

Today is Jantsen's birthday and he is 6 years old. I swear each year I keep saying "I can't believe I have a ____ year old" but this year I really can't believe I have a 6 year old who will be in 1st grade.  Jantsen is such a fun cool kid to be around. 

He is such a boy! Loves sports, loves running, loves trucks and cars (race cars especially), motorcycles, loves riding his bikes and doing pop-a-wheelies, and riding his bike or scooter off a ramp and taking them over jumps, he loves the color blue, loves swimming and going on the slides and diving board. He also loves to read and write! One of his favorite things he likes to do right now is make little paper books and write stories on them. Such a smartie! But there are so many things that he loves doing right now.

I am grateful for the wonderful boy he is growing up to be. I am grateful he is learning more and more each day about the gospel and has questions about different things but also knows answers and understands the basics of the gospel. I can't believe in 2 short years he will be getting ready to be baptized.

He is a special kid and we are so lucky and blessed to be his parents. I am amazed at how intelligent he is, how much he loves learning and how quickly he picks up on things. I am excited to see what this next year will bring.

 Jantsen had a weekend full of fun for his birthday.  We celebrated at the Graham's house on the 24th (nice that Pioneer Day is that day so there are always fireworks. Lucky kid!) We sang, opened presents, ate cake and then had a great firework show...Kyle's grand finale was amazing!)

Then on Sunday the 25th, we went to the Mosher's and had another party for him with Kyle's side of the family. He had a great 6th birthday. We are planning on going to Seven Peak next week for his birthday too. So more pictures of that later.
