Nothing like a house full of people at Thanksgiving!!
Just imagine, a small -2 bedroom-one bathroom apartment with 7 adults, a 3 year old, one infant, empty luggage bags, clothes that are suppose to be in the bags, toys, and a turkey! You would think it would be a mad house, well you are right, it was crazy but it was so much fun!! All I can say is seriously, I do love Thanksgiving. I think Kyle summed it up best when he said Thanksgiving is not really about only the food (of course that is what it is about for me) but he said he loves being crowded with family around. This is coming from my husband that hates crowds and lines and anything to do with an excess of amount of people. But we decided to have the Turkey Day meal at our house in Omaha. We were going to keep with our Graham family tradition with going to a Las Vegas Casino Buffet, only going to a casino out in Iowa. But we chose the crowded townhome option instead. It really was so much fun cooking the dinner with my mom and Natalie in my teeny tiny kitchen and using every pan and serving dish and cooking piece that I own. Our only small scare was the potential of not being able to stuff a frozen turkey, You would think that would create a problem. But we worked that little turkey guy out stuffed him full, and cooked him up and it was a delicious meal!
Our family loved having my parents and brothers and sister come out for about 6 days. I think the person that loved it the most was Jantsen though. He totally loves his family!! Every morning he was laughing, jumping, wrestling, swimming, or doing something with someone. I love watching him interact and have a relationship with his aunts, uncles and grandparents. He loves them and I know he misses them like crazy! Well the week was an eventful one. I am going to post some more pictures about the week with my family but right now it is really late and it has taken me forever to figure this whole blogging thing out, so until tomorrow where I am going to have to put in another 5 hours or so to post one picture...thanks cami and kara for getting me into this! haha. love you all!
