What a week!

What could be worse: Finals for Law School or the Flu?! Unfortunately that is what our family has been dealing with this past week, for Kyle it has been both. First, Kyle started taking his finals on Monday, but last week he was at the library until all hours of the night. He literally was there from 7:00 in the morning until...no joke...12:00 midnight (only because they kick you out when the library closes). I think once or twice he came home for about an hour for dinner, and then the other nights I just took him dinner. While studying has consumed all his time, I had the priviledge of getting our house all decorated for christmas. Yes, we are going to Utah for Christmas and yes, we are leaving in a week and a half, but I had to get our tree and other decorations out. Even if we can only enjoy it for 2 weeks. (makes us look forward to taking it all down when we come home in January...oh good!) Well I started getting all our decorations out on Saturday night. My plan was to finish it all on Sunday, however that is when the Flu decided to join our family. I started it all off with being sick Sunday to Monday night. Then it made it's way to Jantsen and Kambryn Monday until Tuesday night. Funny story....sorry if it is a bit gross, but Jantsen calls diarrhea "follow-the-leader-poop". Makes sense when you think about it. Anyways, while doing his business he yells down from the bathroom that he has "follow-the-leader-poop". I yell back up "good, just keep going and to tell me when you are done". A few minutes later he yells "Mommy, hurry and come up here. Turn on the fan because I really stink". All I could do was laugh and of course follow his command. Well now, unfortunately Kyle, (who has...can I say a "fragile" immune system) brought up the caboose on the flu train. We were hoping it would skip him because this is the worst week to be sick, unfortunately it was innevitable. The poor law professors and students that park on the upper level of the parking lot got a nice surprise this morning when they got to school. A combination of motion sickness and flu, put them together and I will leave the rest up to you. Luckily he was pretty much one of the first to get to the school but once the others began to arrive, YUCK! So it is now Wednesday and what we have accomplished in almost a week is 1.a half decorated house (my tree still needs one more strand of lights put on the top...living alittle white trash right now with it). 2. A parking lot of Kyle "stuff". 3. No toilet paper in our house due to follow-the-leader... and 4. Two finals done with for the first semester of law school...only 4 more to go. We have so much to look forward to with 2 1/2 more years out here.

Just a few random pictures of the kids. Jantsen broke the wishbone with Kyle and got the big end. He doesn't quite get the whole "make a wish" idea, but he does like breaking things. This is just a cute pic of Kambryn. She is finally growing enough hair to put a bow in without a headband. And just one of the two of them playing together under the kitchen table. They are both growing up so fast.
