Who needs a park when you have a home improvement store?

The weather has been totally freezing this last week. I am talking highs of 6F plus add a windchill and the result is -24F. That is cold! So of course the kids and I have been cooped up in the house, dreading any trips that require us to leave the sanctuary of our heated home.
But after about more than a week of trying to entertain a 3 year old in our little home, we ventured out Friday afternoon to nothing better than the fabulous home improvement store of "Menards" (just like Home Depot and Lowe's). In all honesty, I did have to look at the price of a shed but it was also an outing that was much needed.
The wonderful thing about Menards that thankfully Kyle introduced me to was the "Little Tykes Play Area". Oh man this is kid heaven in...of all places...a hardware store. Just a bunch of outdoor playground toys with a barricade around it that literally entertained Jantsen and, surprisingly, Kambryn for about 2 hours!
Yes I confess, I hung out at Menards for 2 hours just letting my kids play. It was just so warm and nice in there. But here is a video and pictures of our outing.

To turn off the music so you can hear the video, go to the bottom of my page and click the pause button on my music playlist. Enjoy!

I think cabin fever is one of the hardest thing about being a mother! I loved your post about Jantsen's favorite things...I may need to copy that sometime!

I'm a little slow but I just noticed that you can leave a commemt. I love, love, love the videos! What a great way to keep up with the changes in the kids. This helps ease the sting of not seeing them but it does make me want to hug and kiss them. It is great is see Kambryn well and playing again. I miss you all!
