The kid loves his sister

Since Kambryn's birthday, the interaction between Jantsen and Kambryn has become so sweet. I am not sure if it is because she is now officially a "number" (1 year old instead of 0) or if she is now more mobile and understands for the most part what Jantsen is saying to her and can now really play together, or else maybe both. Despite the occasional little fights that they have or the "semi-intentional" push over Kambryn gets, I can still see the love and friendship that is growing between my two little sweethearts! I am just grateful for the little tender moments between my kids that I get to witness daily.

This is Jantsen's favorite thing to do with Kambryn lately. I still remember when Jantsen got this little bus for his 1st birthday. He would climb right in and wait for someone to pull him around. Now Jantsen does the pulling and Kambryn does the riding! They can go for almost a full hour just going from our kitchen into our living room and back again. Kambryn loves it and you can tell that makes Jantsen happy!
Another sweet little moment I was able to witness was tuesday when I took Kambryn and Jantsen to the doctor for some check-ups. At the end, Jantsen had to get his little finger pricked to test for lead. I explained to him that they were going to prick his finger to get alittle blood out of it to make sure there wasn't any "yuckies" or "buggies" in it. (that is what he calls germs) He was nervous and didn't really want to do it but was a tough little guy for the nurse. Then it was Kambryn's turn to get the same test (in her toe though) and then she had to get 3 shots. While I was holding Kambryn on the table for her shots, Jantsen was behind me in the chair. You could tell his sweet little face was so concerned for his sister. Just before she was given her shots, I heard Jantsen's little voice in almost a whisper, "No, I don't want her to get the shots. It will hurt her." The nurse proceeded to give Kambryn her shots, in which of course she didn't like and started screaming. I turned around to check on Jantsen and was so touched by the look on his face. He had turned to face away from the exam table, pulled his feet up on the chair and was hugging his knees. He was turned just enough that I could still see his eyes and they had welled up with tears. I knew he felt so bad for Kambryn and didn't want to see his little sister go through the pain. It really was one of the sweetest and most touching tender mercies that I have been able to witness. Thank you Jantsen for reminding me about the unconditional love I need to show to our family and those around me!

Jantsen and Kambryn are both healthy and growing up so fast. Jantsen is almost 37 lbs (70%) and is officially 40 inches tall (64%). (good thing because he gets to now ride most of the rides when we go to Orlando in about 3 weeks.) He did a great job at his checkup and the doctor said he is developing very well and looks great!Kambryn now weights 21lbs(49%) and is just over 30 in tall (84%). She is our tall and lean little lady! She is growing and developing so well and so fast!

That is such a cute story! It made me feel bad for both of them just while I was reading it. It's so great to witness little moments like that and you'll never forget them! You have such cute kids!

How cute! Jantsen has such a tender heart! I love it! You always have such cute stories to tell. I feel like I am in such a blogging rut lately. I just don't have anything to say but that makes me feel bad cause Eme does way cute things everyday. Oh well. I am so glad Jants will be able to ride most of the rides! Not that he will ride them with me! I have already heard of his preferences! Oh I did talk to Kara about the pics. I will call you tomorrow to tell you more.

You worry so much when you are thinking about having a second baby..."how could I love that baby as much as the first?" The the baby is born and you do but you don't even realize that the best part is yet to come...when the 2 begin to interact and grow into best friends(worst enemies sometimes but you know what I mean)! I love that he got upset when she got her shots...he truly felt her pain!

Jantsen is so cute. And such a good friend to Lexi. I will be so sad for her when we leave. I can't wait for them to meet up down the road and get married and to finally make Lexi's day!:) They are so funny.

How cute Janel! I got tears in my eyes while reading about the doctor's office. It definitely is one of the best things to see your kids loving each other. One of my favorites is when Katie reads stories to Jace. He loves it and it looks - and sounds - so cute!

That was such a sweet story Janel. You need to show me how you do all the cool things on your blog. I don't what I am doing.
