A simple Prayer

I know I haven't blogged once while I have been in Utah and I really had every intention on putting up a few pics but it has been pretty busy and so fun visiting out here with family. I just had to post this one little story that happened tonight, with regards to us going back to Omaha tomorrow and the fun that Jantsen has had out here in Utah ("his other home").
Tonight I was packing up some of the suitcases for tomorrow and just talking with my dad. Jantsen was playing Mario Cart (old school N64) with my brothers Curtis and Dustin and just listening to my dad and I talking. My dad said something along the lines that he is excited for us to come back in July and he hopes that we don't miss Jantsen too much because he is going to stay in Utah with his papa. Jantsen agreed that he wanted to stay and that was kindof the end of the what I thought, joking conversation. So...

later I was putting Jantsen in bed and helping him say his prayers, and this is how the prayer went...(he was tired and so he wanted me to help him, so I would say something and he would repeat what I said.)
So after being thankful for lots of things and him repeating word for word exactly what I had said, I then proceeded by saying...

Me: "Help us be safe when we fly to Omaha tomorrow."
Jantsen: (slight pause) "Help mommy be safe going to Omaha and me be safe when I stay here in Utah."
Me: (trying not to laugh) "Bless us to all be together as a family in Omaha."
Jantsen: "Bless mommy and daddy to be together in Omaha and me to still be in Utah."
I then had to quickly end the prayer with fear of either cracking up laughing or breaking out in tears.

We really have had such a fun time being out here with our family and I just want to say thanks to them for all their love and support and just for making these last 2 weeks just so much fun! I don't think that Jantsen realizes that he won't see his Uncle Dustin for 2 years, I don't think I have really realized that tomorrow is the last time I will see him for awhile. Oh what a great blessing it is to have a family and especially to be sealed together in the gospel!

Anyways, we can't wait to get back to Omaha, well I guess I should say I can't wait and I am sure that Kyle can't wait either. I am sure once Jantsen sees Kyle and all his friends and his toys, he will be glad to be back! But for now, he is praying he can stay! We love Utah!!

That is sooooo sweet! I love when you guys are here. I miss you when you are gone! Jantsen is soooooo stinking cute. He could stay at our house for a while to you know! Although he would probably freak out here and not at your parents house.

Welcome home! I realize it's already been a few days but I've been really busy packing. Hard to believe I met you a year ago! Maybe we could plan a last girls luch this week, or something.
Cute post, it's so fun to hear the things our kids do!

Janel hope you don't mind that I ran across your blog. What a cute little prayer! Funny how even though he's tired he still knew what he was saying.

Janel that is so cute! That makes me laugh because Sadie would so rather stay in Utah with her grandma and grandpa too! Jantsen is such a sweet little boy. We need to get him and Sadie together more to play!
