So we have acquired a pet. I wish it was a dog, or even a turtle or fish. But nope, we have a snake, not by choice though. A Gardner Snake lives under our front porch. We started seeing the little guy about a month or so ago. He is way scared of people and usually only pokes his little head out of the crack under our step. Well I guess here at our little complex there are LOTS of snakes, because we live right by a forest or something I don't know. But anyways, today our neighborhood boys were out showing off all the snakes they had caught. They had 3. A little baby one, a small one and then a pretty big one. I told them anytime they want to come by our house and keep a watch out for our little pet and possibly catch him, they are more than welcome to.

Jantsen was totally curious and loved looking at them, but was alittle tentative to touch or hold them. But once I put it in his hand, he was all for watching this little reptile wrap around his hand and squirm while he was holding it. I am hoping that the boys can catch this snake and maybe I will give it to Kyle for Father's Day, knowing how much he LoVeS snakes...yeah right, he hates them!

that's so funny...I blogged about the snakes yesterday too! I bet that snake Jansten is holding is the one the boys caught from my porch!
Do you care if I steal your picture so I can put it on my blog?
A lot of people are really scared of snakes or think they are way creepy but I have always kinda liked them. My friends and I used to catch them and keep them for a few days in a big bucket with a lid on it. Fun times!! I'll bet the boys were pretty proud of their findings.:)
Every boy needs to hold a snake so that he can be brave when a girl is scared and needs him to catch it. So good job Jantsen!
Oh my gosh, Jantsen is holding the big one! What a brave kid even if he was a little timid at first! Good luck with catching the one under your step!
How is Amanda Price? Will you see if she has a blog?
We have three snakes living in our front porch. I really hate snakes no matter how small.
I love snakes. I wish I could find one by my house, that would be awesome!
Next time you see those boys send them to my house. The Frandsen's told me they saw one go under our steps that they guessed was about 5 feet long!! Yuck! I need to talk to you about your classes and stuff! I don't know where you live though so come over sometime!
I am not a huge fan of snakes...I just don't know which ones bite and which ones don't! Anyway, glad you guys survived the tornado. I probably would have done the same thing. Scott loves his new job, and I will love it when he gets his first paycheck!!
