More updates!

So I am finally going to get the rest of our updating done. I hate not updating more often because there are so many things that I know I forget and won't add in here. But I want to remember the things that we have done so here is my huge journal post entry!
Kambryn's Hair Cut: July 1st
Kambryn was getting so raggedy and her hair was just going out of control. I finally took her to my friend Buffy to get her hair cut. Kambryn did a good job sitting there for Buffy and it turned out so cute! I was sad because we had to cut off all her curls in the back only because she was growing a mullet. But I know that it will grow back. The Fourth of July
I totally love this holiday! I look forward to it all year!! I love BBQ, fireworks, parades, hot summer days, swimming, everything that is included with this lovely holiday, and I also LOVE wearing Red, White and Blue and being festive! This year I also decided to sign-up for the 10k race before the parade and also talked Kyle, Kade, and Natalie into running it as well.
Well this is how the day went.
5:00 am: (YES it was early!!) Waking up to get things ready for the race and parade (packing breakfast, outfits, sunscreen, chairs, everything that we might need since we were going to be there for awhile)
5:50: Left for the parade(only after battling with Jantsen to wake him up at 5:30 in the morning and of course for my sake, doing his hair and getting him dressed in his red shirt so he would be cute for pictures. Why is it always a struggle with a 3 year old?) We needed to stake-out a spot for the parade. We found a great spot for my Mom, my Dad, Curt and my kiddies to hang out while we went over to our race start.
6:30 The hot air balloons started taking off. Jantsen and Kambryn totally loved watching, with Papa, Grandma and Curtis, the Big Balloons go up in the air.
7:00 Race starts. Natalie and I ran together while Kyle and Kade took off, weaving in and out of thousands of 'slow' people.
7:54 Natalie and I finish our race. I saw Kyle at about the 5 mile mark and I was determined to catch him. I didn't catch him but only came in 12 seconds behind him. I was so proud of Kyle for running the race 'with' me. Because of school and finals, Kyle didn't have any time to run or train. He did run twice the week before the race! Heck, if I could not train and then run over 6 miles in 54 minutes, that would just be great! Well good job babe! The 4 of us had fun running together but were glad when it was over.
8:30 Finally get back to where our family is waiting. Evelyn, Kristen and Eme joined us at the parade and brought breakfast! YUMMY!!9:00 PARADE TIME!! I just absolutely love parades and I really love them even more now that I have kids! Everyone had a great time and it was fun to just hang out and look at floats (some cheesy, some cool) and clap to the marching bands, it was great! The weather was wonderful. It was warm but yet the sun stayed behind clouds the whole time! A perfect morning to watch a parade! Jantsen's favorite part was when 3 big jets flew over our heads to signal the start of the parade. Kambryn liked the giant Underdog balloon. Fun times at the parade.
12:30-6:30 Finally got home from the parade and EVERYONE took a nap. It was great. We had a BBQ at my parents and just relaxed and enjoyed the nice summer day.
7:30 Went and watched Curt play soccer. He is such an amazing soccer player. I love watching him play! Every year BYU men's soccer plays a game on July 4th and then opens the field up to all the fans so they can watch the Stadium of Fire Fireworks right after the game. The stadium of fire show is AWESOME and I LOVE LOVE LOVE fireworks and soccer is the best sport ever, and so you put them all together and it just makes for a wonderful night! ha. Unfortunately the wind was blowing for alittle bit after the game and before the fireworks started, and with Kyle's allergies, he was hating life at that moment. So he decided to take Kambryn home early and missed most of the fireworks. Jantsen raced my dad around the soccer goal the whole night! I am still amazed at how much my child LOVES to run. I think next year I will sign him up for the one mile race. He would probably love it! But the firework show was just spectacular and was a fabulous way to end another wonderful 4th of July celebration! Happy 4th of July!!

wow you are so good at updating! I never put up my 4th of July pictures and figured it was too late now! You know we miss you all too. I wish we could just call up Jantsen to come over and play like before. He's such a good kid I never minded having him over! Dylan thought he was moving here since he turned four, but I said he couldn't, so then he was asking if Lexi was turning four soon, so she can move here :( He's not quite understanding yet!

Nice work on the race. It isn't fair that boys don't train and can always do better than us. Well, atleast I don't think Kyle trained or anything. I love that natalie is waving at someone, she always knows someone. Anyway, you are NOT a horrible friend. I LOVE YOU! I am sorry I haven't done your hair yet. I am actually feeling a lot better today, so hopefully it will be soon. I will call you probably tomorrow to set something up if that is okay! Thanks Janel.

Looks like you guys are having fun. I am sad that summer is getting close to ending. I am still holding off on cutting Kate's hair - I can't bear to do it yet there just isn't enough - but I know the day should be coming up soon so she doesn't look like she is wearing a rug on her head.

first of all I love the matching shirts on the fourth of July! And I hate that Kyle can run like that so easily!
