First, all I only have one word to explain why I haven't blogged in the last few days...
TWILIGHT (and New Moon). And I am totally hooked and I love love love it! Kyle thinks I am crazy and everything but I love these books. Now I know what the big fuss from EVERYONE is all about! (confession...I read the whole Twilight book on Thursday...stayed up until 2:00am and then I decided to spend alittle more time on New Moon...Friday and Saturday to read it. 2 days isn't completely crazy is it!?) So I will most likely finish the other 2 books by this next weekend.

We had quite the exciting day today. We went to Disney On Ice at the Quest Center. We went with some friends, The Egberts. It was a fun show, the kids loved it, and it wasn't too expensive at all! It brought back the fun memories we had this summer at Disneyworld and I can't wait until we can go back again. I don't have much to say, just that we had a fun time and I could tell that Jantsen absolutely was loving it! Man moving here to Omaha has allowed us to do alot of fun things lately! And we are loving every minute of it!

Another fun thing happened today:
Jantsen learned to ride his bike today WITHOUT training wheels!

He has been asking us for about a week now to take off his training wheels and so Kyle finally did it today. We made sure he had his helmet on and Kyle was almost certain that he was going to have to run along side Jantsen holding onto either the bike or Jantsen. But to our surprise, the minute that Kyle got Jantsen set on his bike, told him what he was going to do, Jantsen started peddling, and then he just took off! Kyle didn't have to hold on once. Of course Jantsen was alittle wobbly at first, but he didn't have a hard fall once. His bike is still alittle bit tall for him and so that made it difficult for the start and dismount of his bike, but he has already learned how to jump off the bike when it is going down. He did bump into a few cars, but luckily his bike has rubber padding all over it and it is pretty harmless on cars.

Kyle was really proud of Jantsen, and so was I, but Kyle couldn't get over the fact that Jants just took off right from the beginning. What a Stud! Jantsen now is more in love with his big bike! He asked a million times today if he could go out and ride it. I am still hesitant to let him ride it without any full-time supervision. We have to remind him that he is still a beginner and he is learning, but Jantsen insists that he is a big boy now. Oh my child is growing up too fast. Another milestone to check-off the dreaded but inevitable
"my child is grown up when..." list. Good job Jantsen, we are proud of you and happy to see the excitement in your eyes when you learn something new!

GO JANTSEN!!! that is so awesome, gosh that makes him look so old! wow that is so cool. how fun. I am still amazed, when I was a nanny I taught the little girl but she was 5 years old! how fun.
I love Disney on Ice as well, looks like you guys had fun! Can't wait to see ya in a few weeks :)
love ya guys
Jants is fearless. I think I was like ten when I stopped using training wheels! Ask Kyle is he remembers the little blue training wheel bike we had!
So a little over 4 years old and my son might be riding without training wheels huh?! Look at him! He IS a stud. It always helps when your mom is a studette.
I love reading your blog. You are such a sweet mom. Take care of Lisa for me. I think she could use a lunch date.
I am so glad you got into the books! You will probably finish the last one before I even start it. I am still trying to finish The Host. Stupid, I know. I should just read the last one and then come back to The Host but I hate not finishing a book. That is awesome about Jants. My mom was so excited tonight and had to tell all of us. Kara said, Mom she already blogged about it. My mom said but it just happened yesterday, and she said yeah, thats old news! Kind of funny but my mom was glad she got to her about it from Jants! Can't wait to see you guys!
Way to go Jantsen!!! That is awesome! Disney on Ice looked like fun, I will have to take the girls if it comes here. We miss you guys! We might be coming out for the spring dental golf thing, so Jantsen can impress Lexi in person with his awesome bike skills then. She was pretty impressed with the video!!
That's awesome! It is quite an accomplishment when kids learn how to ride a bike without the trainers on! Go Jantsen!! Looks like you guys are having a fun time in Omaha. You're always doing fun stuff! I promise you'll miss Omaha when you leave!
yah I made your blog! I need to start this nasty obsession with twilight- Go Jantsen! By the way, does he like popcorn?
wow thats cool disney on ice was there! I have been telling Nick we need to try and teach dylan to ride without training wheels but we seem to be so busy all the time. Hopefully soon!
First and most important....I am so addicted to Edward and Bella! I finished all four books, and I am sad that there isn't any more, so don't go too fast. Second, we have been trying to get Kylee to ride without training wheels, she isn't having it. Nice work Jants!!! Love you nelly!
I just finished those insanely addicting books in about the same amount of time. love em! there WAS a reason for all that fuss...
