Today it has started to feel like winter is just around the corner here in Omaha. Alittle crazy to think that it is already November 7th and it is
finally starting to feel like winter. Like I said over Halloween as well as all this last week, it has been AMAZING weather. It was in the upper 70's (75-77 degrees...what?! I know it was wonderful!!) We are finally getting our winter cold weather to hit Omaha. Today we have a high of 40 degrees, with wind!! That is cold. I am going to have to break out the indoor games and toys soon. (actually I am going to have to figure out what games and fun activities are entertaining for a 19-month old and a 4 year old...playdough and puzzles aren't going to cut it for the next 4 months)
Well at least we are ready for the cold with coats and boots and warm clothes! I am still hoping for at least another weekend or two of decent weather...so I can get family pictures done before it is freezing!
So here's to the cold weather and all the fun as well as dreadful things that come along with it...Snow ball fights, building snowmen, sledding, making tracks in the snow with boots, Christmas lights, hot chocolate, soup, ice storms, scrapping off windows in the morning, running from the house to the car and the car to the store, driving in crazy weather, the unavoidable colds and sicknesses...oh the list could go on!
Hooray and Boo for the cold weather!

Dude, the cold weather hit here, and we are already sick...suprised? No, we are always sick. But I am not quite ready for it. I used to love winter, and then I got kids, and there is noting to do in the house for 4 months. Like you said, playdough and stuff doesn't quite cut it for that long, so if you come up with anything fun, let me know!
it's starting to get cold here too.. yuck.
So, in reference to your last post...you're telling me Jantsen gave himself that mohawk? :) Kambryn reminds me of Natalie. I think they even kind of look alike.
Oh yeah, I am working on a list of things to do with the kids inside. I will have to share it and we can exhange ideas!
Oh, your pics are so cute and that little girl of yours I just want to eat. She is so adorable! Ty saw this and was jealous of the winter you're going to have (NOT)! Remember, he served his mission in Omaha. Maybe we will get out there in the next couple of years to see his mission. How long you gonna be out there? Maybe we will swing on by!
Hey! I just finished reading your Halloween post and showing Dylan all the pictures. Jantsen looked great and Kambryn too! Oh and your blue wig was fabulous! Sorry to hear winter is starting up in Omaha. Actually it has suddenly gotten chilly here in Memphis too! I was enjoying the perfect 70's weather and the past couple days it has been in the 50's! I am going to start checking on plane tickets, maybe there will be something reasonable. Miss you guys!
Well said! I aggree! Hasn't the weather just been great??
Oh my gosh! It so SOOO COLD HERE! What is the deal with this wind?!?
A BIG "NO...we are not ready for winter yet!" I for sure need to come up with more things for my kids to do before that can happen!...Oh and I loved your halloween blog...you are HOT in blue!
