What can I say she likes whip cream! This picture is of course for Bonnie, and also Lisa Stephenson! You called it, it made the blog! Sorry Bonnie it is too good of a picture not to post! Plus notice the $5 bill in her hand. It was a bet and she went right for it! But do you know many people that can still look super cute with whip cream all over their face?!
Saturday night Kyle and I were going to spend a night out on the town without the kids. Unfortunately Kyle hurt his back pretty bad and he couldn't even walk. There was a time that night that I really thought that I was going to have to call someone to take him to the hospital, it was that bad. So we had to reschedule our plans for Monday (my actual birthday).
Finally Monday, my big day, came and it was just Fabulous! Pretty non-eventful for most of the day, but relaxing which was nice. I spent most of the day with the kids, lots of play dough playing. Kyle had school and work but was able to come home for lunch, surprising me with flowers.
Later that night, Kyle took me to a great restaurant down in Old Market called Stokes! It was really good food and the restaurant had such a fun atmosphere! It was so nice not having our kids with us. (My wonderful friend Allie took Jantsen and Kambryn for the evening.)
The chips and salsa and guacamole was oh-so-good! I was stuffed half way through my meal!
It was so nice to just sit with Kyle and hang out. We stayed for about 2 hours and I didn't want to leave. (of course it was FREEZING outside and the restaurant was so warm) but still it was nice to be able to sit and not chase kids. We did alittle shopping (again wonderful without kids) after dinner and then went back home to being parents again.
It is still hard to think of my age as 27, I know it is still young, but honestly it feels alittle old to me. It is going to take alittle bit to get use to saying I am 27. But the weekend of my birthday was great so we will see what this next year has in store for me!

we celebrated your birthday too by playing with playdough!!i think Parker heard me talking about it on the phone with you.. cause he kept begging to play so I gave in when the twins took a nap! that kit they all got is great! well have fun talk to you soon
Looks like it was so fun! That stinks about Kyle's back. Tell him I hope he is feeling better. I hope you TiVo'ed that Bachelor! It was a goodie! You still seem WAY young to me if that makes you feel any better! And next month when you hubby turns 30 you will have to feel young compared to that! That is practically middle aged! He must already be feeling it! J/K! Lov ya!
Kyle's back going out should have made you feel a lot younger! Ha ha! I am glad you had a good and relaxing day! You deserved it.

You're scaring me! My 27th is in a couple months. I'll tell you what, I have started my basketball league and I feel like an old woman!
Happy belated birthday to you!! What a fun couple nights....out with the girls then out with your husband without the kiddos. I love the picture of Bonnie with whip cream all over her face! And I agree, she still looks just as beautfiul! It's just not fair though you have nothing to talk about because you'd be just the same.:)
I had a hard time with the 27 number too. Myabe because my employees thought that was how old i was when i first started my business.(i was 23) So I feel for ya.27 is almost 30 and 30 sounds old. But someday maybe we will want to be 27. Happy birthday Nellie.
