'Twas the Night before Christmas

I want to do a recap of our Christmas events. Since we stayed in Omaha for the holidays, I have A LOT of pictures and A LOT of videos that I am going to be posting the next few days. Again, mainly for our family back in Utah.
Here is our
*CHRISTMAS EVE*
We did a little last minute Christmas shopping during the afternoon. There was a winter storm warning all day and so going out to the stores were a little tricky. But we braved the weather and got the last minute things we needed.
I saw something on the computer about "Tracking Santa" and so I showed the kids how we could see where Santa was on his journey around the world. Jantsen was so into watching the updates and checking to see where he was.

Before we went over to our friends house for dinner, we started our Santa sugar cookie batch. After a wonderful homemade Chinese food dinner (sweet and sour chicken, beef and broccoli, ham fried rice, and angel food cake. It WAS all SO GOOD! Who would have thought to have Chinese food for Christmas Eve dinner, but it was all so good! Maybe a new tradition!) we frosted and sprinkled our sugar cookies for Santa. We barely made the walk back to our house from our neighbors because of the weather. A big snow drift was already forming on our front porch. Crazy Weather!

The kids, Kyle and I opened our Christmas Eve presents. As a tradition we get Christmas pajamas. As a new tradition I want to start doing is giving a Christmas movie or book to each kid to open that night also.
Jantsen didn't understand that he didn't get to pick which present he opened. He wanted the biggest and heaviest present that was under the tree, but too bad. Traditions!!
Here are some videos of the present opening.
Both kids do a lot of talking on each of the videos.
