Here he is!!
Talan was born yesterday January 7, 2010 at 5:38 pm.
8lbs and 21 inches

Here is the quick rundown of how yesterday went!
After having my membranes stripped on Tuesday, and a lot of irregular and depressing false labor contractions, I started feeling REAL contractions at about 9:30 yesterday morning. By 11:30 they were more regular and started getting stronger. I finished packing all my hospital bags and we made our arrangements for Jantsen and Kambryn to go to Allie's house. (Thanks SO much Allie, and everyone else that offered help and support).
The weather was crazy. Winds were blowing the snow over the freeways, making it so slick and black ice everywhere. Getting on the freeway we hit a patch of black ice and slid across 2 lanes. Luckily there weren't any other cars around us. But on our 10 minute drive, there were so many cars and trucks all over the place that had slid off I-80. It was alittle scary and crazy!
We made it safely to the hospital just before 2:00. I was admitted (that was the BEST feeling!) at was dilated to a "good"4. At about 3:30 they gave me my epidural and then broke my water and hooked me up on pitocin to get things moving along.
At about 5:15, they said my doctor was going to come check me at about 5:45 and see where I was. With having about 30 minutes of just hang out time, Kyle decided to run down to the car and bring up the rest of the bags and my pillow. Right after he walked out the door, Dr. Kirsch came in. He decided to check on me a little sooner then what we were told. Luckily he came when he did, because Talan's head was right there! All the nurses started bringing in the newborn carts and everyone was getting all ready for him to be born within the next few minutes. It was took about 5 minutes for everyone to get all ready and Kyle was No Where To Be Found!! I really was thinking "Oh my Gosh, Kyle is going to miss it!" I was keeping my legs crossed because I seriously felt that if I open them, he is just going to pop right out.
We really were all just hanging out waiting for the "missing dad". He was only gone for about 5 minutes and so you can imagine the look on his face when he comes walking in the room and everyone is all ready and waiting for him. haha. I am glad he made it!
Well I pushed once and out he came. What an easy and quick delivery! I am just glad that Dr. Kirsch decided to come a little earlier to check on me than he originally planned.
So we almost crashed on the way to the hospital and Kyle almost missed the birth, but all in all the day was perfect and so wonderful!
(okay so that wasn't so quick...but just wanted to remember some of the highlights of that day!)

Talan screamed and cried for the first 30 minutes of his life. Also, right after the nurses took him off my chest, and started cleaning him off, he peed! It was like a water fountain, right out of the bassinet and onto the floor. Ha! So funny!

Jantsen was so excited to finally meet his little buddy! He was so curious to watch everything. He is such a proud older brother. He held him for quite awhile last night before they had to go home for bed. I am sure today Jantsen will be all over holding him.

Kambryn was really tentative when she first got to the hospital. (She had fallen asleep on the way to the hospital so I am sure that didn't help) But she didn't like seeing me in the delivery bed with all the cords and wires hooked up to me. And she didn't like to see the nurse give Talan a bath because it made him scream. She thought they were hurting him. But after we got to the recovery room she was happier. We will see how she acts today after a good nights sleep and some food in her.

With his mega head of hair, I couldn't wait to get the hat off of him and get his hair into a mohawk! Just the perfect hair style to fit his name! He is such a little cute stud and such a good baby! We had a good nights sleep last night, just him and I at the hospital!
It is crazy I have 3 kids! I love being a mom! I feel so blessed!
Thanks so much for all the calls and texts and concern for us! We love you all and miss all our families!! We are a happy family of 5!!
(better and more pictures will come when I get home to my computer)
