Busy month!

(Yes! we cut his hair.  More before and after pictures later! It has already grown a ton and we cut it only a week ago)

heck...has it already been a month since I last posted. Wow! Well things have been busy, and I guess I have just been lazy in posting too. Our month has been a crazy one.

Back in May, Kyle and Jantsen both graduated. Big days! Okay so I would have to say Kyle graduating from Law and MBA school was a bigger deal but Jantsen's graduation from kindergarten was a little more fun to go to. For Kyle's graduation we had some visitors come out and support him. It was great! and we had a packed house but I loved it. I think my kids loved it even more.

Well then at the end of May, Dustin, who just got off his mission, was able to fly out to Omaha and spend a day with us, and then help the kids and me drive back to Utah.  It was a quick trip for him but we really appreciate the help and again, my kids LOVED having him around. I was a little nervous that they would be shy and scared of Dustin because they haven't been around him for about 2 years, but they warmed right up to him and they absolutely love Dustin! He is so great!

So then Dustin and I started the long drive with the 3 kiddos back to Utah. Stayed the night in Laramie WY and then made it to my parents finally! All 3 kids did awesome on the drive, well I guess as awesome and you can expect for being in a car for 14 hours.

Well the next day was Dustin's homecoming at church. He gave a great talk and is so awesome.  I still can't believe that he is already home and all grown up. It is crazy. He is such a cool kid and so fun to be around. It is great!

My dad planned a family vacation for a week up in Park City, so after the homecoming party after church with a whole LOT of people, we headed up there for the week.
Park City was so much fun! I will have to do another post just about Park city. But the kids had so much fun, I had so much fun, but we missed Kyle a lot!

After Park City we just had a week of hanging around my parents house, running through the sprinklers, jumping on the tramp, and doing all sorts of just summer things for the week. But spending another week without Kyle was not fun.

(Kyle stayed out in Omaha because he is in the interview process for a job in Omaha with Mutual of Omaha bank. We had all planned on moving back to Utah at the end of May but this job came up and different circumstances made it so that we left for Dustin's homecoming and for Park City vacation and Kyle had to stay out in Omaha. He has been busy studying for the bar and still working a few hours a day. Thanks to Jon and Jenny, he hasn't been completely bored.  They are his adoptive family right now! Rylee did say that Kyle is her new best friend!)

So anyways, last week was just spent hanging out, until Kyle surprised us all and showed up on my parent's doorstep. I was so surprised I started crying! ha. But then again, things always make me cry.  He did a great job of keeping it a secret, because I had NO idea. I hadn't even thought that he might do it. It was great! The kids were all excited to see him and he just kept saying how much they have changed in 2 weeks and how they looked bigger.  It was cute! Oh and Kambryn would not leave his side for the entire day on Friday! She was back to being a daddy's girl.  Kyle I think LOVED that!

We spent the weekend at the amazing Orem Summerfest! haha. Totally white trash and run-down carnival. But the parade was fun and the fireworks were great! We had a fun time as a family. Then Sunday we spent the day at his mom's house with his side of the family.  He had to fly out Monday afternoon, but it was wonderful to have him in Utah with us.

Now we are just waiting for him to hear if he got the job in Omaha.  If he gets it, I will be here until the end of the June and if he doesn't get it, then I will hopefully get a one-way ticket to Omaha (taking Talan with me of course), help Kyle pack up our stuff, and then drive in the big Penske truck out to Utah.  Kyle will take the bar at the end of July and then we will go from there.

To say that this week has been a little stressful and I have been anxious and nervous and a whole LOT of emotions, would be an understatement. I am constantly checking my phone every minute just waiting for Kyle to call with the job information! Ahhhhh!!
But whatever happens is what is suppose to happen and I have come to accept that and am starting to be okay with it too.  I just hope that "whatever" is suppose to happen will happen SOON! I am getting impatient.
(Park City June 2010. Oh the kids and their goggles. haha. After taking them off Kambryn, I really thought she was going to have bruises around her eyes. They were so tight. But she LOVED them. It was so funny and so cute!)

I guess that is a little update on what we have been doing.  I have lots of pictures. I now just have to upload them, and that will just have to be for another day.  Some pictures are on my camera, some are on my mom's, some are on Cami's in Indiana :) and then some are on a CD.  So they are just everywhere and I am again being lazy and just don't want to do it right now. But I like pictures so I will post these 2 pictures that I had on my phone and hopefully get to the other ones soon!!

Talan looks so grown up to me. He no longer looks like a newborn, then again I guess he is 5 months now. I didn't really get to see him all that much before we left either. Holy crap the time has flown by. I'm with you on wishing that whatever is supposed to happen will just happen already. I'm getting anxious to move into my own place!

Wow, you have had a busy month! I'm glad you get to be in Utah with your family though. Talan looks a lot older than the last pictures of him you posted. I'm still lovin' the hair! Good luck with the job stuff. I know it's stressful! That's exactly how we felt. It will happen how it's supposed to.
