We love Halloween!!

I wanted to write down a little about our Halloween activities...

We already had all the school parades and parties, but after I had Bodie we still had our ward Trunk or Treat and then also Halloween Night.

I love Halloween, I love the costumes, I love trick or treating with my kids, I love the school parades and parties, I love it all!  

And I love looking back and remembering each holiday each year!

So here is a little about the rest of our Halloween activities!

:: Thursday 10/27/11 ::

The kids and Kyle came to visit Bodie and me at the hospital before they went to the ward trunk or treat.  (by visiting I mean "me helping Kyle get the kids' costumes all complete").  But I am glad they came and all the nurses at the hospital loved seeing them too. I was a little disappointed that I wasn't able to go to the ward party, but from what I hear, it was a great party and so much fun!

:: Monday 10/31/11 :: HALLOWEEN ::

We had such a fun Halloween Night. We got together with some friends and had a big fire out at one of their homes.  We had a hot dog roast and rode 4-wheelers, went on a hay ride, and had a great time hanging out with friends.

 (this is what Talan did most of the night. Big trucks and dirt road...he was in Heaven)

After eating, everyone loaded up and headed to a specific neighborhood for some Trick-or-Treating!

Apparently this neighborhood we went to is the place to be on Halloween night! There were cars parked everywhere along the streets and there were SO many kids with their parents (as well as teenagers and 20+ year olds...I don't get it either??) out Trick or Treating!  I loved how busy it was! This is how Trick or Treating is suppose to be! A bazillion kids everywhere, running around, getting candy! How fun is that!?!

We hooked up a trailer with hay onto the back of a truck and pulled the kids around the neighborhood on that.  I stayed back at our car with Bodie while Kyle rode around with the kids.

(and I want to say Thanks to Kara and also Kristen's friend for making the hat for Bodie. I got the shirt and hat pattern off Etsy...he sure makes one cute Frankenstein)

Kambryn had a blast with her 2 friends (holding hands as they went up to each house) and Jantsen said Trick-or-Treating was awesome! They each had their little friends that they stayed with through the night and they loved it!

Kyle got to walk around with Talan and went to about 1/3 of the houses that the older kids made it to, but Talan's treat bucket was loaded with candy. Kyle said that everyone thought Talan was the cutest little kid and would just dump candy into his bucket. And then Talan would say his "Thank-You"  and then toddle to the next house.

We got home just before 9:00 and were all pretty exhausted and ready for bed.  But not without getting a few more pictures and of course checking out the candy everyone came home with!

We had a great Halloween, well a great month of October! I can't believe we are already into November! I am already getting excited for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I just love the holidays!!
