Lots and Lots of...Stuff

Well we finally got our floors (well mostly) put in the kitchen and they look fantastic! Everyone was telling us that it was so easy to install and that it shouldn't take too long. Well Kyle was right when he said that he wouldn't describe it as easy but it isn't hard either. Working together with Kyle was alot of fun and I love the look of the kitchen. It isn't all the way completed but we are hoping that soon, very soon all of it will be put back to normal. (Kyle got sick on Thursday and Friday so that set us back alittle). But I can't believe what a change some paint and new floors did to our little home!
Next thing on our list of events was the visit (he is still visiting) of Dustin. He flew in on Thursday. We went out that night and rented some movies and just hung out at the house that day.
Friday, Dustin and I got up and did a session at the temple. My brother is just the best example to me. Before he flew out here, he wanted to know if he could rent clothes at the temple so he didn't have to pack his. Well I told him I would check and being a lazy sister I just expected to beable to rent clothes and so I didn't check. Well it turned out that you can't and so there was a chance we wouldn't beable to go because Kyle doesn't have white pants. You could tell that Dustin was so dissappointed. He just barely went through the temple for the first time last week and he really wants to make it a goal to go to the temple once a week before he leaves on his mission. His desire to serve and be obediant is such a great example to me and reminder to me of what is important in this life. Well fortunately we were able to call around for some pants (thanks Nick and Jeannette!) and we were able to go to the morning session! What an amazing and wonderful experience for me! I love that temples are what binds us together as families, and knowing that I will be with my family forever brings so much joy and peace and happiness into my life. I am grateful to my Heavenly Father for blessing me with wonderful people in my family who I love so much! I am so proud of Dustin and I absolutely love this kid!!
Next event (Friday evening) was going to the Carrie Underwood/Keith Urban concert!!! First of all I have to thank my wonderful husband for not only getting the tickets, but also staying home to watch the kids so I could take Dustin to the concert. Kyle is absolutely so considerate of my feelings and always trying to do things (big and small) that he knows will make me happy. Thanks again Kyle~
So Dustin and I went to the concert last night and it really was sooo much fun. I love both performers but I will have to agree with pretty much everyone else by saying that Keith Urban was the total highlight of the night! He preformed for freaking almost 3 hours straight! What a fun night. Some other fun higlights for us were 1.Parking forever away from the Quest Center and having to run because it was -100 degrees! (it sure felt like it though) 2. Drunk guy falling and spilling his beer as well as dancing and lip singing to an Arabian guy. (So Funny!!) 3. The young girl next to Dustin who had no sense of rhythm and couldn't clap to a beat the whole night, but also did crazy seductive moves (to songs like "Baby Your My Better Half"...who knows what was going on) and then would jump up and down while swaying her open cell phone back and forth all in one motion and flipping her hair around. She was an act all in her own! oh and she was with a 40 year old man who I can only hope was her dad. 4. Keith Urban going into the crowd, giving away a signed guitar and almost being maulled by crazy 40 year old women. and finally 5. Of course, having SO much fun with Dustin!!

Last Event: Today we took a trip to Kansas City, MO to show Dustin all the church history sites. It was a long but really fun and neat day for our family to share with Dustin. We went to Independence Visitors Center, Liberty Jail, Far West Temple Conrnerstone Site, and Adam-Ondi-Ahman. I love learning about the church history and especially Joseph Smith. It was also so beautiful going to Adam-Ondi-Ahman for the last stop of the evening. The sun was setting and there were deer everywhere and it just gets me thinking and anticipating for the day that Christ will come again. The slideshow has lots of fun pictures that we took. We also went and ate at a highly recommended restaurant "Jack Stack Barbecue". We LOVED it! We had so many fun memories and laughed alot! All I can say is everyone better have an RV and please don't let your kids climb on Liberty Jail.

Make a slideshow - it's easy!
It was a really wondeful day and we are so glad that Dustin is out here for this weekend. We still have him for another couple of days and have many fun things planned for the upcoming days! Thanks Mom and Dad for letting him come and visit!

It looks like you guys had a great weekend with your brother! I have never been to the Church history sites in Kansas City but after watching the slide show I'm convinced I need to. Very cute pictures! It sounds like I'm the only person that didn't go to the Keith Urban concert! I wanted to let you guys know that I am going to have a graduation party on April 5! It is for everyone, whether or not you're graduating! Kids are welcome also! I will be sending out invitations soon!

That is cool that you are painting and putting new flooring in your house. I want to see it when it is all done. We did a lot to our house when we moved in and it was a lot of work, but it is fun to do it with your hubby. I bet it looks great! The concert looked like it was a lot of fun!!
