Yet another update...

Just a few things about this last week: (with no pictures to show...bummer!)

1. We still haven't completely finished the kitchen so I have yet to take the "finished" pictures, but Kyle has Friday off from school so that is the scheduled date. But all I am pretty much living without right now are just the baseboards. I will for sure put some pictures up here when it is done.

2. Dustin left us on Tuesday, but not without a stop at the Amazing Pizza Machine. And just like last time, it was AMAZING. We went in the afternoon and NO ONE was there so we had all the rides to ourselves. Dustin, Kyle and Jantsen bowled for awhile at first. They were throwing those little balls down the lane and slamming the pins. We then road some bumper cars, Dustin and Jantsen raced Kyle in the go-carts, did alittle Putt-Putt golf, played lots of arcades, and ate lots of pizza and slurpees. Dustin flew out that night and we really had so much fun having him here. A few cute things Jantsen said about "his best friend" Dustin were: After telling Jants that Dustin had to go on an airplane and he was going back to Utah, Jantsen got the saddest look on his face and said"But I want to go to Utah. Why can't I go with him?" Try explaining that again to a 3 year old that already misses all the family at "our other home"(Utah) and lets us know all the time that he "misses his family." Sad!! Then after I dropped Dustin off, I was on my way home when my cell phone rang. I answered it only to find out that it was Jantsen on the other end bawling to me, wanting Dustin to stay at our home in Omaha. "I don't want Dustin to leave". He has separation issues, if only he would cry like that when Kyle or I were the ones leaving! And finally during our family night prayer, it was Jantsen turn to say it and I swear he blessed Dustin in everything. "We are glad that Dustin stayed with us this one day, and then another day. Bless Dustin to go home and then come back to Omaha safely. Bless Dustin to come visit us again."...(those are only a few things that I remember him saying) We are so grateful for the wonderful influences that all our extended family has on our kids!

3. Friday and Saturday were busy days. From bow parties, to baby showers, to soccer games, it kept me hopping and kept Kyle at home doing the whole stay-at-home-dad thing. As well as taking care of the kids, he also did all the laundry (washed and folded), made orange rolls for me, serviced the pathfinder with both kids, and did many other daily "fun mom" activities! And he didn't complain once!! It was a great break for me while I was able to spend some much needed girl time with so many fun people. I did such fun things these past few days. I worked-out (my other true love), made bows and headbands at a party (poor Kambryn, more headbands!) helped throw a baby shower for my friend Jenny(she is having a boy, I miss shopping for little boy stuff!! I am so excited for her), played in some coed soccer games (even though we lost and I wanted to kick one of the guys in the ankle, it is still fun to get out there and run around) grocery shopped...by myself (if I was more of a night person, I think I would go grocery shopping all the time at about 9:00 at night. No lines, no kids, nice and relaxed, it was fun!) and I also went out with the most fun group of girls to The Olive Garden to celebrate Amanda's, Jenn's and Krista's birthdays! Breadsticks, girlfriends, no kids (except Lisa's beautiful darlings Kaydee and Parker), and lots of laughing, oh and maybe spoiling some other people's appetites with some of Jenn's stories, (Add shopping in there, and what could've been better?!!) It was a great time! Happy Birthday girls! We need to make this something we do more often!

5. Prepare Jantsen to give his first talk in Primary (I think it was more like preparing me to not get emotional) He gave his talk on Lehi's Dream of The Tree of Life and again, he did such a wonderful job! Walked right up there and said it like a stud! I however, did almost get emotional yet again! I was fighting back the tears of how proud and sad and happy and everything I am feeling about my little guy growing up! One funny moment during the talk was with about 3 more picture cards to hold up he turned to me mid-sentence and whispered "Mom I have to go potty" and then proceeded to do the famous "potty dance". He was dancing the whole time even until he said the word Amen. Nevertheless, Kyle and I are so proud of him. He did a really great job on his talk!

Lastly I want to wish Kara a Happy (late) Birthday. Kyle's baby sister Kara turned 23 yesterday and we want to tell her how much we love her! Kara is so gorgeous and sweet and really loves to have a good time! She is someone that I just love to be around. She is always smiling and laughing and just puts you in a good mood! We hope you had the best birthday and we love you Kara!! Enjoy being 23 because it is a really fun year!! You are the best!

Janelle-

I really want you to post pics of yor kitchen!!! I have loved looking at your blog lately. SO CUTE. Where did you get the background or the template?

Anyhow...I'm not sure if you've ever heard of Modbe...but I LOVE LOVE LOVE their swimming suits and I am having a party this Friday at my house from 6-8 for my friends or anyone to stop by and see all the new suits they have for the sring/summer this year. THEY ARE SOOOOO CUTE! I seriously want like 5 of them.

Brittany has been at my house several times this week trying them on...it's impossible to decide! I hope to see you there...let me know if you can.

Feel free to Bring any friends also...the more the merrier. We will jsut have a few treats...and people can stop in and see/try onsuits if they like...and then go.

These swimsuits are a special modest/garment worthy kind of line...that are super well-built and my personal favorite thing about them...they make anybody look about 2 sizes smaller than they actually are:) They suck in EVERYTHING and are so nice. Cute patterns...very flattering...you must see them!

talk to you soon

Well, I hope I didn't spoil your appetite, and I hope you're only thinking of the baby born on the train(tracks) story. I think that's as bad as it got but please tell me to shut up anytime that I'm about to ruin someone's lunch!!!! I had fun, thanks for going!

Jantsen did so well on his talk. I was seriously impressed! And I didn't even notice the potty dance. He is really good in primary--so you must have some sweet parenting skills.
