Yesterday we spent the afternoon and evening at an indoor water park here in Omaha called Coco Keys. Oh my goodness, we had so much fun!! We went with our friends the Griggs and the Coles. It was also a fun activity that Kyle and I wanted to do for Kambryn's 1st birthday, even though it was a day early.

We got there around 4:30pm. Right as we walked in, Jantsen tore his clothes off and wanted to just run and jump in the water! He was so excited. Kambryn on the other hand wasn't too sure what was going on and why there was water everywhere! She was alittle tentative to let her feet touch the water. But the water was alittle cold and so that could have been part of the problem.

She sure did look adorable in her little swimsuit!! I even put her hair in a little ponytail. It is finally long enough that a ponytail looks cute. It might be long enough to possibly try out pigtails...Yeah for little girl hair!
Well back to Coco Keys. Jantsen is our little daredevil! He was loving going down all the slides and all by himself! Kyle and I had to constantly be reminding him that he couldn't just run to all the slides and just abandon his parents. If we weren't there, he probably could care less!

He had a blast racing Dylan and Lexi down the slides, trying out different ways to go down the slide (on tummy, laying down, head first, rolling over while going down, etc...) Lexi and Jantsen thought it might be a good idea to follow older kids and try to stand under a bucket that dumps 1000 gallons of water from about 50 feet up. They totally would have been wiped out! We made them stand by the ropes to at least have something to hold onto.

The only time we really had a break-down, besides when it was time to leave of course, was when Lexi and Jantsen bonked heads. But the pain was gone quickly when it was time to go to the top and race down the slides! It is so fun watching Lexi, Dylan and Jantsen and how much their friendship has grown over this last year! We are going to miss these families!!

One funny part of the night was when Kambryn started devouring our french fries. The funny thing is that it has really taken me FOREVER to get her to eat something that has some sort of thickness or lumps to it, to make her chew. And she has had nothing to do with that. Oh but the goodness of some french fries has cured that problem! She loved them!! There was even a time that she had a fry in each hand and also a long one in her mouth. We were having a fun time watching and laughing at her! I just can't believe how much she has changed, especially in the last few weeks! It is fun having a little toddler!
We really had a great time playing in the water and spending time as a family! Happy First Birthday Kambryn!! We love you Sweetie!
