Saturday night we went out bowling with our friends The Egberts. It sure was the happening place to be because it was SO crowded! But we had a great time and the kids absolutely loved it! Kyle unfortunately won...in the last frame. He beat be by about 10 points. And also Jantsen then beat me by 1 point. I am a good mom and wife to let my boys get the satisfaction of winning and not to be beat by a girl. It's a good thing that Jenny asked to have the bumpers put up...of course for the kids' sake.
We had a great time bowling. Then all of us met some other friends and went out to dinner. It was almost 9:00 by the time we got to the restaurant. Usually we don't go that late and it gives me anxiety to have 2 kids at a restaurant 2 hours past their bedtime. But Kyle wanted to watch the Utah game and hang out with his fellow Ute fans. It was a great night and it turned out that both Jantsen and Kambryn were wonderful at the restaurant! I was completely surprised and relieved! I am not getting my hopes up with good restaurant behavior; I am counting on it being a one time event.
One side story...
We went to the mall earlier that day. As we were in the turning lane stopped at a red light, Jantsen suddenly yells "Mom! Look!! it is a car like Dustin's" And so I looked and low and behold, there was a tan Camry turning in front of us and yes it did look exactly like my little brother's car. (Dustin has been on a mission for about 6 months and we miss him alot!) But it was just so cute that he remembered and could recognize the type of car Dustin once drove. For a split second I was thinking "I am going to call Dustin up and tell him" Wait...he is on a mission! And so I started thinking about him alittle and got teary eyed wishing I could share this little moment with him. I know it would make him happy to hear that Jantsen still remembers him! We all miss Dustin but we are so proud of him! We are counting down the days until Dustin is cruising around in his Camry again, but for now we are excited to get to talk to him on Christmas!!
