Afternoon in the Backyard

With summer weather coming to an end, the kids and I decided to take advantage of the nice warm 85 degree weather. I am sure it isn't going to last much longer but we were loving it today.
This is what a backyard afternoon consists of with my kids...

Jantsen: my oldest. Train-lover, or anything that can be connected somehow, leader, things are done HIS way, big brother. My buddy.

Kambryn: 2nd child. Only Girl. Loves dolls, babies, princesses, pink...I don't need to go on. Stubborn, total daddy's girl. My little side-kick.

Talan: baby of the family, the happiest and smiley-est baby, loves food, way chunky, his bottom 2 teeth are so cute, melts my heart everyday. My little monkey!

and me...I enjoyed reading while relaxing in a lounge chair, watching my kids enjoy the beautiful day.

The day didn't end all blissful with birds singing and sounds of children laughing. Oh no. It ended with a wrestling match on the tramp between Jantsen and Kambryn which went all wrong. Kambryn biting Jantsen and Jantsen punching Kambryn in the eye (no pictures of that).  oh yes, I was quickly reminded of my motherly duties and sibling fights. oh and Talan decided to read the Ensign, tear it up and then make a run for it too.

We are still hoping that Fall can hold off for a little while so we can enjoy a few more warm summer days.  We want a few more BBQ's, movies out on the deck and afternoon's spent in the backyard. And then...Fall can come.

Looks like you had fun. Leave it to the older kids to remind us that blissful moments can't last forever. Your kids are so cute!
