"Where A Kid Can Be A Kid"

For the last month or so I have "bribed" Jantsen to do certain things with a chance to earn a day when we go to Chuck-E-Cheese.  So today was the day he was able to cash in on that bribe.

He invited one of his friends from school (TJ) and the 4 kids and I went to Chuck E. Cheese. I was so glad that we went right after school because we had the place pretty much to ourselves. I am not against going there but the one in Orem is getting a little trashy. But much to my surprise, it was actually really clean and not too bad.

Today is one of the few days that I am actually glad Jantsen is growing up.  I was able to give him and TJ each a cup full of tokens and let them run free. They each went from game to game and played them all within the first 15 minutes. I was thinking "oh boy, this is going to be a short stay".  But they eventually slowed down, and pretty much figured out which game they each liked.

Jantsen was the skee-ball king...

TJ was a little b-ball pro... luckily their games were right next to each other.
so they sort of cheered each other on.

and Kambryn, Talan and I wandered from game to game...until we came upon this ride..

I think she used all but 5 of her tokens on this ride. (she didn't unbuckle herself, just told me to keep putting tokens in).

And the best part for the kids was getting their prizes from their tickets. Really it doesn't get much better than this! Seeing kids as happy as can be. And the best part was when Jantsen told me as we got home "Mom this was the best day ever!"

As a fun last hurrah for summer, the kids watch a movie out on the deck tonight. I swear it is still summer here...90 degree weather during the day. So we took advantage of it, seeing that it might be our last chance for movie night.

We are excited for conference weekend! I love this weekend!!
