Trip to California (Part 1)

Our family vacation to California was awesome! Thanks so much to Evelyn for a wonderful vacation. And to everyone else for being such a fun family.
Here is a quick breakdown of our week vacation... With TONS and TONS of pictures!

Day One- Travel Day
We flew out Monday. That was a busy morning. Packing for 3 kids and myself for a week was insane and then add in 2 car seats...wow I can believe I did it. And to top it all off I had to make an early morning run to the Urgent Care for Talan.  He had a high fever and so sick for the past 3 days.  I was worried it was an ear infection and that the plane ride would kill his ears. But it turned out to be nothing..."It Ran It's Course." (the typical answer you get when they don't know what it is)
Evelyn and Kade took care of Lydia on the flight (Kara and Greg went down a few days early for some "alone" time), Kristen and Jeremy had their 2 kids and then I had my 3 kids on a row. Luckily the flight wasn't too packed so there was plenty of room. All the kids did great!
We all packed into a 15 passenger van when we got there. We were stuffed the the brim in there. But it makes it all the more fun to have everyone together...right?!
Talan was sick for the first 3 days of the vacation. It was so sad how lazy and lethargic he was...and hotter than hot! It was so sad.
The house we stayed in was amazing. Kyle did a lot of research on finding a great house that could accommodate everyone and the house was perfect for us all. We all loved it.  Especially the kids in the hot tub and the pool, even in the rain!

Day Two- Rainy Hang Out Day
It was a misty rain this day. We found a cute little pumpkin patch that we entertained the kids at.  Too bad the rides were like $5 for one.  Luckily the kids were good to entertain themselves with the decorations.

We also went to Downtown Disney this evening.  We tried to dodge all the rain storms by running from store to store.

Day Three- Initial Disneyland Day but due to rain we went to McDonald's (wahoo)...and the Beach.

Talan was still pretty sick this day. He wasn't sleeping that great and just not feeling well at all. So when I saw the down pour of rain, I was glad that everyone agreed to opt out of Disneyland for the day.  We spent the morning hanging out at the house.

I am so glad the rain let up after our McDonald lunch so we could drive out to Seal Beach.  Talan started feeling a lot better after a LONG nap so it made for a nice afternoon in the sand and sun.  Jantsen was in heaven and  Kambryn was freaked out at the sound of the waves hitting the shore...crazy girl.  We were sure missing Daddy and were excited for Thursday when he was able to join us!

To Be Continued...
