Easter

We didn't do a whole lot for Easter. It was actually late Saturday night that I finally went and picked up a few things to fill eggs and the kids' baskets.  I am not "blessed" with a lot of energy right now. And unfortunately my kids have to suffer because of my lack of holiday cheer and excitement.
It rained pretty much all day Saturday so any chance of going on an egg hunt was gone.  But we were able to hang out as a family, have some good BBQ food (Oklahoma Joe's is really the best ever!!), and get a few things done around the house.  Before going he went to bed, Jantsen did tell me that he couldn't believe that Easter was already here and that he was so excited to see what the bunny brings him.  It really was like Christmas Eve.
I did have the intention on dying eggs but we didn't get to those, plus the thought of hard boiled eggs smell throughout the houses almost made me want to throw up.  Next year for sure!!

Sunday the kids got their baskets and also hunted for the eggs left behind by the Easter Bunny.  Kambryn was the first one awake and was so excited she had to run and wake up everyone to come and look at what the Easter bunny left. It really was almost like Christmas for them.  So fun being a parent.

Our church doesn't start until 2:00 so we had a nice morning and a wonderful sabbath day.  It was nice to reflect and think about the Christ's life, atonement and ressurection.  While talking with the kids about why we celebrate Easter and what Jesus did for us, Kambryn informed us that she never wants to die.  She is really a little afraid of dying. I don't think she has grasped the whole "life after death" concept yet.

If anyone can teach Talan to not smile like Chandler off of Friends, Kambryn to stop  "posing" in EVERY picture, and Jantsen to look at the camera and not at Talan while we are telling Talan to smile at the camera (or flash gang signs while we are at it), then Please...pass along any ideas!

Happy Easter!!

You are ALIVE! I am so happy you are at least feeling well enough to blog. The kids look very cute on Easter. I love Kambryn's dress! I am sure she loved twirling in it too. And Talan is looking so stinkin big! He still has some baby chub though.
On Easter, we reminded Lydia of the kids' names' and she kept pointing them out afterwards at moms. It was pretty cute. We missed you guys that's for sure!
